So much for “equal justice under law”

Rhode Island Republican Chairman Joe Powers released the following
statement on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of former
President Donald Trump:
“I’m unclear about what the charges are at this point. The
indictment has not been released. I would prefer to wait to see what the
chargers are. Regardless, I’m sure President Trump will
mount a strong legal defense, whatever the charges are.
My concern is that instead of cleaning up New York City, DA Bragg
is wasting taxpayer dollars to go after a high-profile individual. If the
charges prove to be false, I’m sure Rhode Islanders and Americans across the
country will see right through the political theatre.”
