I saw the lede for a piece in RI Future about Republican Senatorial candidate Barry Hinckley, the only major declared challenger to Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse. Senator Whitehouse will be running for re-election next year (and I hope he'll get a lot of support from Charlestown).
Hinckley was in California, raising money from conservative fat-cat Republicans. Hinckley is a Tea Party favorite and a Ron Paul devotee. He's also nuts.
Here is his pitch to the crowd of rich California conservatives. Hinckley was doing OK until about the 4:30 mark where he goes off the rails describing his vision of an America that is run like a corporation. He actually calls it "America, Inc." And we aren't citizens, we're "employees." And we don't have states, we have "divisions." But I don't want to spoil it for you. Watch it for yourself and let me know what you think.
