Check your garage, attic

Hoping to repeat the success of the "It's not the end of the world" tag sale last May, the Charlestown Democratic Town Committee is looking at Labor Day weekend to do another sale.

Money raised at the sale will be used to Help Make Charlestown More Democratic.

The May tag sale featured an entire table of affordable but good quality jewelry. That table will be set up again as more jewelry items have been pledged for the next sale.

Lucky guy gets to take duck plucker home
At the last sale, there was furniture, house wares, art, kitsch, toys, stuffed animals, books, school supplies, a lot of things we couldn’t identify and – making its 22nd appearance at a CDTC tag sale, Henry Walsh’s famous duck-plucker. But it was also the last appearance of Henry’s duck-plucker because it was purchased by a guy who actually knew what it was.

The CDTC is now actively looking for donations. Do you have saleable stuff around your home you would be willing to give for a good cause?

As shown by the sale of Henry’s duck-plucker, we can sell just about anything as long as it isn’t total junk – and even then….

Please box or bag items for donation, if appropriate or if it's furniture or appliances, leave it as is. Then contact CDTC Treasurer Frank Glista  at 364-3723 to arrange for either drop off or pick up.
