New Progressive Charlestown Design

Your Progressive Charlestown staff have been evaluating a new layout of our website to make it easier to use. We decided we liked the new design this afternoon so I took a deep breath and (I think) got it all changed in about 10 minutes.

My apologies if you were using Progressive Charlestown at the time and became disoriented. All should be stable now!

Our new 3-column design is more common to blogs and websites and better uses the space available on modern computer screens.  We reduced the size of the header so more of the story content is visible when you open Progressive Charlestown. We also increased the size and spacing of the menu items below the masthead.

References to articles and comments are now together on the left side so there will be less scrolling down to find popular features.

The right side holds our sign-ups for notification services, the small version of our Events Calendar and the newsfeeds from our content partners.

If you have thoughts about this re-design let us know in the comments or by email to progressivecharlestown@gmail.com

Thanks for your readership. Tom Ferrio and the Progressive Charlestown team
