The Providence Journal has just reported that the teenager driver of a second car has been charged with reckless driving related to in the October 23rd car crash that injured four Chariho students.

One of the boys, John LaMotte, remains in critical condition.

According to police and media reports, the four boys had just left a drinking party at the home of Chariho School Committee member Terri Serra. The Westerly Sun recently reported that the boys may have been racing a second car down Route 112 from Richmond into Charlestown where the crash occurred.

Ms. Serra has since resigned her seat on the Chariho School Committee and faces criminal charges - for a Richmond Police charge of violating the state social host law and a Charlestown Police charge of failing to render assistance based on a witness report that Serra went to the accident scene, cursed the boys and then left without helping.
