So, before you read my response, please read Mageau’s attack first by clicking here.
Now my response:
- First, I stand by what I write. I also put my name on it, though to his credit, so does Mageau, but that's where the commonality ends.
- I carefully research what I write. I reference my sources and usually provide links to documents so the reader can judge the accuracy of my interpretation.
- When I make a mistake, I acknowledge it and correct it. Click here for an example.
- It would be nice if Jim Mageau did the same.
- If he has evidence to refute all those misstatements and lies he accuses me of publishing – regarding him, the pending labor charges, the investigative series on Lisa DiBello, the beach concessions, DiBello’s charity, the actual meaning of Mageau v. Anderson, actual evidence of a criminal conspiracy at Town Hall (besides the 37 pages of unrelated material he submitted), let him bring it.
We’ve gone through this once before with Mageau. He wanted us to print all those wild and crazy charges against Frank Glista and others. We told him we would not print his charges without actual evidence. Instead of providing that evidence, he sent an attack letter to the Westerly Sun, which they published.
This time, we decided to give him a free shot, so we published his “letter” in its entirety without comment.
But that’s as far as it goes. Mageau, put up or shut up.
