Based on a news release from the office of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
Our US Senators and Representatives know that one thing that it can be hard for their constituents to deal with federal agencies on their own. Whether it's problems with Medicare, VA benefits, lost military decorations, small business assistance and a wide variety of other common problems, often citizens need some help.
To make it easier for Charlestown residents, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is sending his staff to meet with town residents who would like to get the Senator's help with problems with federal agencies.
On Thursday, May 31st, members of Senator Whitehouse's staff are coming to Charlestown.
Here are just a few of the issues the Senator's staff can help with:
- Military & Veterans
Affairs
- Social Security
Questions
- Resources for Small
Businesses
- And of course,
listening to you

Cross' Mills Public Library

RSVP for Thursday, May 31st
Your RSVP will make sure there is enough staff on site to meet constituent demand.
The Senator notes that while his staff can't ask an agency to circumvent its rules, force it to decide a question in your favor, or change a decision that is already final, there are a number of ways his office can help and he'd like the opportunity to try.
If you are seeking help with a specific matter, please bring all appropriate contact information, including a daytime phone number and e-mail address, any relevant identification or tracking numbers (i.e. Social Security number or case number), and as much information about your question or concern as possible, such as previous correspondence with the agency.
