A good time was had by all at the seafood festival

Overcast skies did not deter the crowds.

Yeah, I know, it's for the tourists. But as it happened, we had out-of-town visitors over the weekend, so we took them to the seafood festival on Sunday. And everyone, aged 5 to 50, managed to find something to enjoy.

The musical acts were top-notch. Several couples who'd clearly been taking swing-dance classes hoofed to the beat of Eight to the Bar in spite of the rather oppressive heat and humidity.

There were dozens of loving restored classic vehicles on display as part of the Rhode Island Street Rodding Association Car Show. If I won the lottery, I'm not sure how I'd pick which one I'd buy.

The best deal of the festival was definitely Wild Bill's: Free refills of 6 different varieties of root beer, plus a souvenir mug.

My nephews enjoyed the rides, though some of them you couldn't pay me to get on even if I hadn't been eating clamcakes.
