I have to thank my sister for spotting and then alerting me
to an event even more important than the Superbowl. The makers of marshmallow
Peeps®, the world’s greatest union-made in the U.S. of A. junk food (but only when they’re stale), are hosting
their second annual “Deck the Peeps
Holiday Art Contest.” I am not making this up.
Yes, you are invited to create a winter Peeps® diorama. You
don’t have to wait until Easter.

the background music will make you grit your teeth, but there is a “Stop the
Music” button at the very top of the page. Do it quickly – I will not be
responsible for the consequences if you don’t.
Here's one of this year's early entries |
In other exciting Peeps® news, they have come out with brand-new Christmas Peeps®. Candy-cane flavored and dipped in chocolate.
Personally, as a diabetic, I find Peeps® to be an important
glucose control measure – a couple of Peeps® are guaranteed to end a bout of
low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and much more fun than glucose tablets.
For the record, I was not paid or offered any Peeps®
gratuities to make a fool of myself by writing this article. But I wouldn't mind getting some.
