UPDATE: Please note the new address to donate to the Friends of the Charlestown Animal Shelter is 50 Sand Hill Road, Charlestown, RI 02813.

UPDATE: The RI ASPCA is now offering a $1,500 reward for the arrest of the scumbag who dumped these kittens.

By now, you have probably heard about the horrific act of animal cruelty that happened here in Charlestown.

Some miserable bastard stuck fourteen sick little kittens in a box and dumped them near King’s Factory Road. The kittens were found and given to Charlestown Animal Control. The kittens were described as “near death,” but are being cared for at the Charlestown Animal Shelter.

I know the staff and volunteers at the Shelter are stepping up to help nurse these kittens back to health so they can be placed in good homes with decent human beings, but we can all help.

The town’s support for the shelter is far from lavish, so it’s up to others to help support the shelter by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Friends of the Charlestown Animal Shelter50 Sand Hill Road, Charlestown, RI 02813.

Though this is a special circumstance, the Shelter needs regular support from the community all year long. So while you should certainly give now, don't forget the Shelter later.

Charlestown Police would like you to let them know if you have any information on the sick SOB who did this. I’d also like to know who it is, if you catch my drift.
