Pawtucket, RI – With Peter Kilmartin making his intention clear that he will seek a second term as Attorney General, the Charlestown Democratic Town Committee endorsed him for reelection to the top law enforcement official in the state, citing his leadership and track record as an advocate for the people of Rhode Island.
“I am honored to receive the early support of the Charlestown Democratic Town Committee. I have worked hard to earn the respect of the people in Rhode Island, staying true to my promise to serve with integrity and honesty while upholding the laws of this great state, protecting the rights of its citizens, prosecuting those who commit crime to the fullest extent possible, and protecting consumers from being victims of scams. I pledge to continue to build upon the success of the past three years to strengthen the safety and security of all Rhode Islanders,” said Peter Kilmartin.
“Peter Kilmartin is a proven leader who has a track record of putting the people before politics, who is not afraid to tackle the tough issues, and bring to justice those who abuse their power for personal gain. Peter stands up for what is right, from pushing for tougher laws to keep criminals behind bars longer to defending the people’s right to have access to our beaches and shoreline. Rhode Island has been well served by Peter Kilmartin as Attorney General. The Charlestown Democratic Town Committee is proud to endorse Peter Kilmartin for Attorney General,” said Chair Catherine O’Reilly Collette.
