You won't see this on Fox News

Unless they want to try to deny it
The American controversy about evolution and the myth of some sort of conflict between evolution and religion is an amazing and baffling thing. Despite the parallels with former belief in the geocentric universe, with mankind in the center of everything, the arguments about evolution result in daily headlines - of controversy in the USA and bafflement in much of the rest of the world.

With that background of perspective I bring you an online article to consider...

The thought-provoking website Mental_Floss has an article on five recent evolutionary traits in humans.

Many people don't realize that the ability to digest milk into adulthood is a relatively new feature of the human race that dates from the domestication of cattle. Milk from cattle made an excellent food source that was valuable in lean times. Most humans initially were profoundly lactose intolerant and could not benefit. But when we began domesticating cows, sheep and goats, being able to drink milk became a nutritionally advantageous quality, and people with the genetic mutation that allowed them to digest lactose were better able to propagate their genes.

The article goes on to list four other human traits that have developed over the last few thousand years or are developing today. Check it out!

And I leave you with an entertaining rap video. Enjoy!
