Tomaquag Museum hosts roundtable discussion

Topic: The first novel in Louise Erdrich's Native American series

At the Cross Mills Public Library, Thursday, April 10 at 7 PM, Dawn Dove, Narragansett elder, oral historian, author and educator will lead a round table discussion with Indigenous educators, elders, and activists to discuss the themes of Louise Erdrich's, Love Medicine.

Image for Love MedicineThe panelists are Dr. Maria Lawrence, Ramapaugh, RI College Professor of Education; LorĂ©n Spears, Executive Director of Tomaquag Museum, educator, artist, and author; Dr. Elizabeth Hoover, Mohawk, professor at Brown; Paulla Jennings, Niantic/Narragansett Elder and oral historian. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts.
