You want Benghazi...here's Benghazi for ya!

President Obama Catches Benghazi Suspect And Republicans Call It A “Distraction”

President Obama Catches Benghazi Suspect And Republicans Call It A “Distraction”
Which would be a great idea!

President Obama proved yet again that he can actually get the job done and get the people who attack us without invading the wrong country. And while the GOP was busy pushing fake Benghazi scandals to tear him down, President Obama orchestrated the capture of a key Benghazi suspect, Ahmed Abu Khattala.

Khattala was a senior leader of the Benghazi branch terror group Ansar al-Sharia in Libya, who attacked our consulate in 2012, killing four Americans. The President announced that Khattala will be tried in a U.S. court for his crimes. He was captured by U.S. forces and is being held in an undisclosed location outside of Libya, according to the Pentagon press secretary, Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane and remember that Republicans have been criticizing President Obama as being weak on radical Islamic extremists for his “failure” to not apprehend suspects in the 2012 consulate attack.

Remember when then presidential hopeful Mitt Romney accused him of being weak against terrorism and emboldened extremists? Well apparently they have flip-flopped again, because the capture of Khattala isn’t enough for the GOP in their never ending crusade to bring the Obama Administration down.

For the past two years, they have hounded the President for not having him. Now that he has been captured, Republicans are again mocking the President and accusing him of capturing the terrorist for a number of reasons, ranging from distractions from who-knows-what, to alleviating tensions on Hillary Clinton and trying to boost his approval ratings.

Of course, Fox News was one of the first to criticize President Obama and break into their usual unmerited conspiracy theories. Fox News’ Kennedy on the program “Outnumbered” had this to say:
“You have a former Secretary of State who is in the middle of a high profile book tour, I think this is convenient for her to shift the talking points to some of the things she has been discussing.”

You hear that? President Obama orchestrated this capture to catapult Clinton’s book to the top of the New York Times Best-Seller List.

Then Peter Hegseth said, “I think this thing needs to be tied in a bow for certain individuals to have a clean break from an incident that have become and will continue to be a scandal and an anchor around a certain individuals neck who may want to run for president.”

Oh my, whoever do you mean? Any Benghazi news that does not involve the President being impeached is not relevant to Fox viewers or their hosts.

And then the Republicans took to Twitter to spout off on their conspiracy theories.

Then Former Representative Joe Walsh, while happy about the capture, questioned the timing, taking to Twitter. You know, because sensitive information on combating terrorism is known for its planned timing.

Then Lindsay Graham, the Jordan Leslie-esque Senator from South Carolina, decided to attack President Obama on his imterrogation policies (even though no details on interrogation have been made to the media).

Of course Rush Limbaugh had a mouthful to say about it, as well: “Isn’t it an amazing, timely coincidence here that they have found a militia leader of the Benghazi attack and they’ve arrested him?” Limbaugh asked on his show Tuesday.

“So I guess the video really wasn’t to blame. Because the guy that did the video is in jail, he’s who knows where anymore. Remember the video made these guys do it, so whoever did this really can’t be blamed. They were just incited by this video. But all of a sudden we’ve got the militia leader.”

“But isn’t it fortunate that President Obama get a headline using the US military when he really needs one,” Limbaugh continued. “So I’m now waiting for FBI Special Forces to capture Lois Lerner’s missing e-mails. Of course that’s not a headline Obama wants, so that probably isn’t gonna happen.”

There you have it. The President captures a terrorist Republicans have been hounding him for years about, and they attack him. He does something they themselves can’t do, so naturally they must decimate his character and bring Hillary Clinton into the mix because they’re scared.

While they’re busy being overtaken by the Tea Party, Obama is busy rounding up terrorists. That’s the state of the GOP in modern America.

Senator Harry Reid said it perfectly:

It doesn’t matter what your ideology is, you should feel good about this. There’s no conspiracy here, this is actual news. But the reaction of some of the Republicans, I’ve been told, is to downplay and insult the brave men and women of our special forces and the FBI….They’re insulting these good men and women who did some courageous things, heroic things, in order to criticize President Obama. I think they’ve lost touch with reality; it’s really pathetic, there’s no other word for it.
