Slow-Cooker Oatmeal with Apples
When you
think of fall, what is the first thing that comes to mind? For me, it’s not only
the beautiful colors but also the inspiration of the season’s fruits and
vegetables.
From cooking to decorating, fruits and vegetables play a huge part in our fall festivities.

On the
weekends, apple picking has become one of the most popular activities this time
of year. Last week, I ventured to a local orchard to gather my own bushel and
have been enjoying them ever since.
While
apples are famous for keeping doctors away, they are also a comfort food when
baked with yummy ingredients such as brown sugar and cinnamon. For this recipe,
I’ve combined all of those and added oatmeal for a warm and hearty breakfast.
And it only took me about five minutes. Enjoy.
