Give a sweet kitty a break

Meet Brody!
Jennifer Gebar, Animal Rescue League of Southern RI

Hi, I am Brody, and this is my second appeal to try and find a forever home!  I have been at the shelter for over a year and I am starting to become stressed and depressed.

I will not lie…I have become a little sassy because of my inability to have a daily routine.

I’ve seen some of my fellow cat friends who have been in my situation flourish in their new homes, and I’d love the chance.

If you could be patient with me and give me a transition period, I will be the most grateful cat you’ve ever met.

I am a sweet but misunderstood boy, and if you come say hi to me at the shelter, I might be a little nervous at first, but I know there is a family out there that can welcome me with open arms.

Because I’ve been here for a year, ask about a discounted pet adoption fee.  Give a sad cat a second chance at life and happiness forever, I really am desperate and in need of the right home!

Please stop by our shelter located at 506B Curtis Corner Road in Peace Dale or call 401-783-7606 for more information about the misinterpreted Brody or our many other adoptable pets waiting for their new forever homes. You can also visit our website at www.arlsri.org.

Some editorial notes:

First, we adopted twin kittens from ARLSRI just about a year and a half ago. It has turned out great, maybe better than any other adoption we’ve ever done.

Second, ARLSRI is in the middle of building a new and expanded state-of-the-art facility and needs all of us to help them complete this much needed project.

Third is the thing about Brody being a black cat. I’ve been told by several shelter managers here and in Maryland that black cats are hard to place because of ridiculous old superstitions. Over the years, we have had two black cats, Nick and Max, and both rank high among the nicest and funniest kitties we’ve ever had in our home. We miss them both. So please give Brody a break.
