As
many readers know, Charlestown lost a prominent citizen and activist – and many
of us lost a friend - on Thursday when Henry
Walsh died.
We have the details on his funeral arrangements from Donna
Walsh, former state Representative and Henry’s life-time companion.
Donna and Henry on Prom Night |
First,
there was some confusion in the Sun
and ProJo
newspaper obituaries where Henry is called “Harry.” No, that’s Henry. Harry was
Henry’s father.
Donna
and the family hope to see you Sunday, tomorrow, from four to eight PM at the
S.R. Avery Funeral Home in Hope Valley.
At a Chamber of Commerce dinner in 2000 |
The funeral service will be held at
Avery’s Monday morning at 11 AM followed by burial at White Brook Cemetery off
Pine Hill Road in Richmond.
Instead
of flowers, please send a donation to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island,
South Team, 143 Main Street, Wakefield 02879 who took care of Henry in his
final days.
