Mystic will release a rescued seal at Blue Shutters Thursday morning

“Dill” gets to go home
By Will Collette

Mystic Aquarium’s Marine Animal Rescue program will release another seal into the wild after being healed at the program’s facility. The seal’s same is Dill and he’s a male between one and two years old who was rescued at Cape Elizabeth, Maine on March 11.

He was dehydrated and had stomach parasites. They fixed him up and he responded by going from 62 pounds when he was brought in to now over 75 pounds.

So he’s ready to go and the Aquarium folks will do that Thursday morning at 10 AM at Blue Shutters Beach here in Charlestown (down East Beach Road).

It’s a fine thing they do at the Aquarium so if you’d like to support their work, click here.
