GREEN ARCHITECT INNOVATION AWARD
MEGAN MOYNIHAN WINS AWARD FOR GRASSHOPPER 

OYSTER WORKS Megan Moynihan received the Green Architect Innovation Award for her residential project Grasshopper, a 1600 square foot home on a coastal salt-pond in southern Rhode Island.

Dr. Nancy Carriuolo, President of Rhode Island
College, presented the award at  Building The Sustainable Future, held on January 14th at the RIC Faculty Center.

Building the Sustainable Future was produced by ReNewable Now.  Peter Arpin and Ken Filarski, FAIA, co-hosted the sold-out event which was streamed live to a global audience.

Megan's presentation focused on Building for Climate Change and steps we can and should take to reduce the damage to our homes and communities.  Megan highlighted how Oyster Works' design and use of materials will protect Grasshopper from sea level rise and the catastrophic impact of major storms.
