Mystic Aquarium’s Ocean Blue Catering is hosting a romantic prelude to Valentine’s Day with its ever-popular South African Wine Dinner on Saturday night, February 13 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. 

Proceeds benefit Mystic Aquarium’s mission including the conservation of the endangered African penguin. Held among the exquisite sea life of Mystic Aquarium’s main gallery, the evening opens with a cocktail hour featuring the endearing African penguins followed by an eclectic multi-course menu.

For the kids, Mystic Aquarium is offering free downloadable classroom Valentine’s Day cards. “Whale You be Mine” and “Waddle it Take to Make You My Valentine” are just a sample of the adorable aquatic-themed Valentine’s Day cards ready for kids to personalize and hand out to their classmates.

Gifts ideas also include crystal glassware, custom jewelry, penguin paintings, themed apparel and much more from the Aquarium store.

All purchases will also do a heart good this Valentine’s Day. Proceeds from Valentine’s Day shopping go toward the Aquarium's mission programs including animal care, conservation, education and research.
