Mystic Aquarium is
proud to announce the release of six harbor seals: Jett, Amethyst,
Quartz, Obsidian, Amber and Sapphire.
Each harbor seal
pup, approximately 4 - 5 months of age, was considered to have been
abandoned shortly after birth. They were rescued by the Marine Mammals of
Maine and then transferred to Mystic Aquarium's Animal Rescue Clinic
between April 25 and May 31 for care. Now healthy and prepared for life
at sea, the pups are ready for release.
Please remember that marine animal release
dates and times may change at the last minute given a variety of factors.
