Memorial Day Weekend
Dale Wolbrink, Mystic Aquarium
Beginning Friday, May 26, 2017, guests will be invited take a walk on the weird
side of our watery world with Weird
& Wonderful.
This exciting new exhibit showcases some of nature’s most bizarre and
fascinating creatures.
Spanning
more than 1,000 square feet and featuring several new exhibits and animals,
guests will marvel at the unique features and adaptations of a diversity of
aquatic animals.
Unfathomably freaky and outlandishly odd, Weird & Wonderful ‘s signature species include the larger-than-life giant Japanese spider crabs, mudskippers, giant Pacific octopus, fish eating anemone, large-nosed freshwater wonders like the paddlefish, and experts in camouflage like the warty frogfish and so much more.
Additional exhibits include coral reefs and bio-fluorescents.
Bright,
bold imagery and hands-on interactives enhance the guest experience.
Keeping
conservation at the forefront, through this exhibit Mystic Aquarium seeks to
educate guests in interesting and engaging ways to the threats facing these
various species and the actions that can be taken to protect them and preserve
their aquatic homes.
Weird
and Wonderful
is the second brand-new exhibit in as many years!
