Our
state's most vulnerable children receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches
at school during the school year. But when school lets out for the summer,
these meals will stop.
|
That's when hunger begins for thousands of children in Rhode
Island.
|
Each
month, 59,000 Rhode Islanders receive food assistance through our network
of 160 agencies. One
in three is a child under the age of 18.
|
Without
your help, many children will spend the summer hungry instead of playing
with friends, going to the beach, and generally just being kids during
school vacation.
