Pantries Help Families Eat Healthier
|
|
In our latest print
issue of A Place at the
Table you’ll learn how we’re helping low-income families
integrate healthy food into their diets. We focus on distributing nutritious,
core food items that are the building blocks for a healthy meal and partner with
our member agencies to teach food pantry clients about the benefits of making
healthy food choices.

Summer Food Drive - Please Help
|
|
During the summer,
low-income families struggle to provide enough food to their children without
the free lunches they receive during the school year. At the same time,
summer is typically when food donations to the Food Bank are at their lowest.
That’s why our Summer Food Drive is so important. Please help us with
donations of food or funds so that our hungry neighbors have enough to eat.

Donate Food & Give Blood on Aug. 1
|
|
Rhode Island PBS,
the Rhode Island Blood Center and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank have
teamed up once again to host the annual Summertime Blood and Food Drive. Stop
by the Food Bank at 200 Niantic Ave between 10 am and 2 pm to donate either
food, blood or both! These needs never take a vacation so we greatly
appreciate your support.
