URI’s Inner
Space Center to offer weekly tours this summer
The University of Rhode Island will
offer weekly tours of the Inner Space Center, the facility that brings
real-time oceanographic research to Rhode Island and the world, beginning July
18.
Tours will be offered on Tuesdays at
11 a.m., through Aug. 22. The cost is $5 per person and registration is
required, at least 24 hours in advance, through

public tours please.
Located at URI’s Graduate School of
Oceanography, 215 South Ferry Road, on the Narragansett Bay Campus, the Inner
Space Center is an international leader in ocean science research, exploration
and education.
Tours will include a walk through
the Inner Space Center, a display of artifacts recovered from ancient shipwrecks,

produced.
