Join us on Friday, October 13 at our third annual Empty Bowls
event featuring delicious tastings from 33 different restaurants. Choose a
handcrafted bowl to take home as a reminder of the bowls you’re helping to
fill in our community. And shop from our Collector’s Corner featuring pieces
donated by Rhode Island artists.
Cooking Students Explore Unique Opportunities
As part of the Food Bank’s 14-week culinary job training
program, Community Kitchen students get out of the classroom and explore new
concepts like making pizzas in the mobile wood-fired ovens of the Gilded Tomato.
Partnerships like this one open up a world of possibilities for participants
as they plan their future careers in the food industry.
