Karen McDougal, a
former Playmate of the Year, spoke to the New Yorker for a story about the nine-month affair
with Trump which began in 2006, while married to his third and present
wife Melania.
McDougal documented
the relationship in an eight-page note that one of her friends shared with
Ronan Farrow who wrote a detailed article on the affair.
McDougal and Trump met
while he was filming ‘The Apprentice’ at the Playboy Mansion in 2006.
She confirmed a Wall Street Journal report from shortly before the 2016 election that she was paid $150,000 by American Media Inc., the publisher of the National Enquirer, for the account of an affair she had with a “then-married man.”
The National Enquirer, for the record, only publishes favorable tabloid pieces on Trump, lavishing him with praise. It’s a fake news tabloid and one which Trump once said deserves a Pulitzer Prize.
Trump immediately took
a liking to McDougal.
“It was so obvious
that a Playmate Promotions exec said, ‘Wow, he was all over you — I think you
could be his next wife,’” according to report.
She wrote that she
would visit Trump at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where he always ordered steak and
mashed potatoes, and that he offered her money after the first time they had
sex.
McDougal and Trump
started seeing each other frequently and she even met his family members. Trump
told her his son Eric pointed to her when asked who he thought the most
beautiful woman at the party was.
While in Trump Tower,
McDougal wrote, Trump pointed out Melania’s separate bedroom. He “said she
liked her space,” McDougal wrote, “to read or be alone.”
McDougal spoke
guardedly with Ronan Farrow out of fear of breaking the contract. She said,
“I’m afraid to even mention his name.”
When she grew
concerned over her mother’s disapproval of Trump, the reality show star simply
said “What, that old hag?” McDougal pointed out that Trump and her mother were
close in age.
It appears that
McDougal has made her Facebook page private.
