Everything from
insects to whales
The 2018 RI Nature Video Festival will be held on Saturday
February 10 at 2 PM at Save The Bay, 100 Save The Bay Boulevard in
Providence.
All of the videos were made by Rhode Islanders and were filmed
in Rhode Island.
18 different video makers have videos in the show with topics
ranging from insects to whales, and almost everything in between.
Festival Organizer Greg Gerritt noted “I started making videos
of frogs and tadpoles several years ago and was curious to see who else was
making nature videos in Rhode Island, and through the Environment Council was
able to pull together a festival as a way of getting the video makers another
venue for their work, and for the opportunity for the video makers to share how
they do their work.”
In addition to a showing of 25 Rhode Island nature videos the event will include an opportunity to speak with and question the video makers.
The event is free and open to the public.
We ask that people RSVP at https://www.environmentcouncilri.org/content/2018-rhode-island-nature-video-festival-rsvp.
But walk ins will be welcome.
