Christine Bedoya named to Wood River
Health Services Board

The Wood River Health Services Board of
Directors recently named Christine M. Bedoya of Hope Valley to the board.
Ms. Bedoya is the Director of the
Revenue Cycle Department at South County Health, where she oversees the Health
Information Management, Patient Access and Patient Accounts departments.
She has
been employed by South County Health for 13 years, previously working as the
Patient Accounts Manager for South County Hospital and South County Medical
Group.
She also previously served as a
supervisor of the Claims Department at Perot Systems and as Physician/Provider
Relations Representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
Ms. Bedoya also sits on the Board of
Directors of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management’s
Connecticut Chapter.
Wood River Health Services is the Federally Qualified Community Health Center for southwestern Rhode Island, providing medical and dental care and social services to over 9,000 area residents.
The center also administers the area WIC
(Women, Infants and Children) Nutrition Program, provides a nationally
recognized chronic disease management program, has available onsite lab testing
in cooperation with Westerly Hospital, including blood work, x-ray and
mammography, and provides behavioral and mental health counseling and referrals.
Sliding scale payments are available to
those who qualify.
Wood River Health Services is located at
823 Main St., Hope Valley (on Route 3 south of the village, just off Route I-95
at Exit 2).
