Saturday: Moonlight Paddle on the Wood River

Fathers Day Moonlit Paddle
This Saturday, June 15th,
7:30pm

Join WPWA's Wild and Scenic Rivers Coordinator, Kassi, and her father, Captain Ron, for a Full Moon Paddle trip. We will launch from the WPWA campus onto the Wood River. This wide section of river is great for beginners.  As we paddle out, enjoy the swooping of swallows and sounds of song birds. Perhaps we will see one of the three Great Blue Herons who frequently fished here this spring. We will begin our paddle during the light, and paddle back at dusk.

Boats are available to be borrowed.  3 tandem kayaks are also available, great for and adult to share with a child under 11. Email kassi@wpwa.org to reserve a tandem. The group will launch at about 7:30 pm and return between 9 and 9:15 pm. Little lights will be on boats. For when we return to land, please have a flashlight or headlamp.
  Go to http://wpwa.org/events.php to register.
Cost is $15 for members, $20 for non-members.  WPWA members at the Trout level or above have free access to kayaks. *But Dragonfly level and non-members will be charged an additional $20 per boat.
