The La Grua Center, a non-profit arts and cultural community center located in Stonington, Connecticut, has announced the search for a new Executive Director.
The
Board of Directors is seeking a passionate, energetic, and organized leader who
is committed to driving and shaping the Center's evolving impact in the
community.
The
Executive Director is the manager and chief public representative of the
organization, responsible for nurturing community and donor support for the
Center, partnering with a range of local institutions and authorities,
positioning the Center effectively through media outreach and marketing
strategy, and overseeing an array of programming and activities.
The Director must possess exceptional development and coordination skills with the creativity and motivation to develop the organization’s programs, be fluid with management technologies and social media, and collaborate with the non-profit community.
The
Executive Director aims to attract new diverse audiences to the Center, while
maintaining loyal followers. Grant writing experience is a plus. Excellent
communications skills are a must.
The
Executive Director leads and manages an all-volunteer organization under the
direction of the Board of Directors and collaborates closely with a Programs
Director who has a direct line of communication to the Board of Directors.

This
is a hands-on position in which the Executive Director plays an active and
visible role in the community. The compensation for this position is
