He also Returns to Natural Resources Committee for the 119th Congress
Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) announced that he will return to the Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Natural Resources for the 119th Congress.
On the Homeland Security Committee, Magaziner will serve again as the Ranking Member and top Democrat on the subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, and will also join the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection subcommittee.
“One of the federal government’s most essential responsibilities is to keep Americans safe. On the Homeland Security Committee, I will continue my work to strengthen our ports and borders, safeguard our nation’s critical infrastructure, and protect Americans from terrorist threats.” said Representative Magaziner.
“I am honored to return as the Democratic Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence to continue my work advancing efforts that make the United States safer, stronger, and more secure.
The Natural Resources Committee’s jurisdiction includes oceans, fisheries and waterways, and environmental and energy policies, including offshore wind. On this committee, Magaziner has focused on ensuring access to clean air and water, supporting Rhode Island’s fisheries, accelerating the transition to a clean energy economy, and protecting the environment.
“The Ocean State deserves a seat at the table during
discussions on environment and energy policy, and I am proud to be returning to
the Natural Resources Committee this Congress,” said Representative
Magaziner. “I look forward to continuing my service on the Energy &
Mineral Resources subcommittee and the Water, Wildlife & Fisheries
subcommittee.”
